I found a new version of the rules online, has something been changed?
The rules remain unchanged, the rulebook has been revised and extended with more example.
Is it possible to place a cap on the pipeline of another player?
No. It is not possible, you can place caps only on your pipeline.
Which are the possible actions during my turn?
1) You take a card from the deck
2) If you want you can play a card from your hand and place it where you want (in contact with another pipeline off course)
3) If you want, you can discard a card from your hand and place a cap on one of your pipeline.
4) Your turn is finish and the next player start his turn.
Is it possible to place a card in order to close the pipeline of another player? Is it possible to place cards in contact with other cards if the outlets does not match?
It is possible to place the cards on every players pipelines, under the conditions that there have to be at least one open outlets for every player pipeline.
Therefore it is not possible to close another player’s pipeline if he do not have any other open outlets.
In the example here below reported it is possible to see how the yellow player can place the card A in order to prevent the blue player to continue his pipeline named B.
This action is allowed because the blue player has other open outlets (indicated with the letter C) from where he can continue the game.

During the count of the negative points have I to take into account only the my main pipeline or also the side pipelines?
All the pipelines has to be taken into account.
A side pipeline is owned of the player which village is the closest to the ending outlet of the pipeline.
In the case of two villages that are at the same distance fro the ending outlet the side pipelines will be owned of the player who own the main pipeline from where the side pipeline starts.
Is it possible to place break cards on your own pipeline?
Yes, it is possible, following the normal rules.
How do you know who is the owner of a pipeline?
At the beginning of the game each of the spring outlet is assigned to each player.
The pipelines that will start from the mentioned outlet will be owned by the player that owns the starting outlet.
During the game a player can steal another player’s pipeline (or even “gift” one of his pipeline, generally full of holes, to another player) if he manages to bring the ending outlet of the pipeline closer to his village than to the village of the other player.
In case of same distance between the two villages the pipeline is of the player who own it previously.
There is one restriction to this rule, it is not possible to steal a pipeline from a player that does not have any other open outlet to start a new one.

In the example it is shown how the placing of the card A lead to a change in the ownership of the side pipeline (made by the cards A and B) from the blue player to yellow player.
The card A is now closer to the yellow village instead of blue village (3 cards for yellow and 5 cards for blue).
This can happen because the blue player has other open outlet ( C ) and therefore this action is not against the rules.
From now the yellow player will have to take into account at the end of the game also of the negative point due to the open outlet of the card A (unless he puts a cap on it or continue the pipeline).
If two pipelines join, who will be the owner at the end of the game?
During the game it can happen that two pipelines of two different players join (but in such case each player has to have at least one free outlet on one of his pipelines).
If such case happens the standard rules for attribution of ownership of the pipeline can not be applied.
It is important to define who is the owner if there is a break in the pipeline, in such case the distance between the broken pipe and the villages is counted and the closest village’s owner will get that ownership of the broken card.
If both villages are at the same distance from that card the broken pipe will not be assigned and it will not have to be counted for the final calculation of points.
In case of a standoff between two players who will win?
After the negative points has been counted, two players can have the same score. In such case the player with more cards directly placed between the spring and the village (therefore not counting the side pipelines) will win.
In case of standoff also in such case the player with more cards left in his hand will win.
In order to add some variability to the game, is it possible to place obstacles around the spring, close to the villages or in some other part?
Yes it is possible and even suggested in the rulebook. The players can use as obstacles the caps or whatever object they have.
The players will have to place the cards around the obstacles in order to find the shortest paths to their villages.
In order to add some variability to the game or to play in more then 4 people, is it possible to place more springs in the field?
Yes, it is possible and it leads to a really funny variability in the game. Each player will choose from which spring he will start and he will place his village to the proper distance from the chosen spring. This is what you have to do when the game is for 5-8 players (two decks of cards are required is such case).
