territory are unguarded" becomes "2) All the player's territories are destroyed
or ALL of his territory are unguarded"
GENERAL QUESTIONS
I noticed that new rules are available online. What has been changed?
We revised the manual and included new rules. We strong recommend to use the
Second Edition rulebook (2.54 or later).
When I can re-use the cards that I have on the game table and that I have already used/turned over?
In the next game turn. All the cards on the table are
re-activated at the beginning of your own turn.
The newly built cards can be used immediately?
Yes. All the newly built cards can be immediately used in the game.
If I produce more resources than the ones I use, can I save them and use them for another production?
No, all the produced resources have to be used immediately (they can not be saved) and only for
1 production (a territory, a building, a character or to pick up a card).
i.e. If you turn a field with a worker producing two grains you can not use a grain resource for a playing a card and the other one for playing another card.
Can I use the special power of a card when it is NOT my turn and this power makes turn the card?
No. The only exception is represented by the Priest and Bowman cards if these have not been already used. You can use the Powers of these two cards also if it isn't your game turn and if the cards are still available.
If I use the merchant with a gold resource, can I convert it into two grains? In two gold resources? In a gold and an energy resource?
Yes, all the combination are allowed, also convert one gold into two gold resources
When the game includes allies, can my ally turn his cards during my turn in order to produce resources?
Yes, your ally can turn his cards (if not used) for your advantage, but he will have to produce
1 resources extra as penalty for that (1 resource extra per turn).
MOVEMENTS
Can I move my characters inside/outside of the territories when it is NOT my turn?
No, the inside or outside movement can be done only during your own game turn.
It is allowed to deploy the defence forces under attack during the turn of the enemy (only if they are not previously used/turned).
How many Internal Movements I can do with a character card?
Many time do you want. You can freely move a character card inside a territory or City (or out of a territory or City), but only if the card is unused/unrotated.
How many External Movements I can do it?
One External Movement for each character card for game turn and only if the card is unused/unrotated. For example, if you have 4 farmers (unrotated), you can move also all 4 cards, but you can move them only 1 time for game turn.
BUILDINGS
If I have the Bank and I want to play the Merchant card, I have to activate/rotate the Bank card?
No, it is sufficient to have it.
If my ally has a Stable, can I play the Knight (Chilvary) using the ally’s stable?
No, to play the Knight (Chilvary) your will have to pay two additional gold resources, as every player that do not have the Stable.
Is it possible to purchase more building in the same turn?
Yes, there are no restriction on that.
WAR
If I have no more territories but there are no enemy troops inside my fief, am I under siege?
No, the siege will take place only if there are enemy troops inside the fief.
When a player is defeated should all his troops be removed from the game?
Yes, all the cards of that player will be removed from the game.
Can I move a troop during a battle? Can I do it later?
No, all the movements between fiefs have to be done before the battle. Also the deployment of the troops during a battle have to be done before the battle results will be calculated.
I have a territory with a stable (+0/1) placed on it, can an enemy worker (value 1/1) destroy it?
Yes, the stable, as all the building with a military bonus +0/1 provide the bonus only if there is in the territory a character card. If there are no character cards on the territory the sable and the territory itself will be destroyed by the worker.
Can I pass trough an intermediate fief with the Knight if this fief there are unused and hostile troops on it?
No, you are forced to stop and fight a battle in the intermediate fief.
What happens if troop of different players are in the same fief (3 or 4 players for example)?
The player on turn has to choose what to do. He can attack 1 player, or also 2 players (if he got sufficient cards), or also 3 players. The battles will be solved singularly following the common rules.
If I am under the attack of enemy troops inside my fief, but the intermediate fiefs are empty, can I move my troops in the intermediate fiefs or use the Knight (Knight) to counter-attack an enemy fief?
Yes, you can do it. Only the presence of troops in the intermediate fiefs prevent your troops to pass trough and force you to a battle.
BOWMAN AND PRIEST
Can the bowman attack an building/territory?
As all the cards with a military value, the bowman can attack a building or a territory with is standard attack value, while if it use is special attack (from the near territory) it can attack only other characters.
Can the bowman or the priest attack normally and then use their special powers?
No, during a turn they can do or the normal attack or use the special power, not both.
Can the bowman or the priest use their special power when they are guarding a city or a territory?
Yes, they can use their special powers, but in such case this will cause the use (and therefore the turning of all the cards of that territory)
Can the bowman or the priest use their special power when they are inside an army?
They can do it only if their army has not been directly involved in a fight. If they use their special power all the army will be turned.
Can the bowman attack a troop that is inside a city or a territory where there is a castle?
No, because the city and the military buildings (tower, castle, fortress) protect the troops from the bowmen’s attack.
Can I use the power of the Priest or the Bowman if he is in the intermediate Fief and there is a battle going on?
You can use it only if the battle is a adjacent Fief. If the battle is taking place in the Intermediate Fief you are forced to use the Priest/Bowman as normal troop directly in the battle.
Can I use the power of the Priest or the Bowman if it is in my fief and there is a battle going on?
Yes, if you are the attacker you can choose which troop will go into the battle ‘melee’ and which ones will not go, therefore you can leave the priest or the bowman out of the melee battle and use them on the proper moment.
If you are the defender, you can proceed as above if you are in your Fief, but if the attacker has more troops than you, he could attack also the characters that you have not involved in the battle (as he can attack a territory
or the City).
Who acts first? The Priest or the Bowman?
They act at the same time after the damage points application. The players can declare freely if they want to use these cards: first begin the attacker, after the defender, but if one of two declares something, will give the other the possibility to replicate. For example: the attacking player can avoid to declare anythingt, but if the defender declares to use his priest, the attacking player can replicate and declare to use his bowman too. At this point the defender can replicate again and declare to use another pries for example, and going so.
